RULES
1) The Accademia Musicale Internazionale, an Endas association based in Perugia (Italy), organizes the first International Chamber Music Competition "Città di Assisi". The competition is promoted with the patronage of the Comune di Assisi and the Provincia di Perugia, with the support of the Regione Umbria and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Perugia. The competition will take place on the 7-8th of October 2010 in Assisi (Pg). The Prize is open for the chamber groups from the whole world. An avarage age, for each group, can't be higher than 35 years old.
2) The chamber groups are part of the unique category that includes all formations from duo to octet with or without piano, the groups with two pianos are excluded.
3) To enroll in the competition, the candidating groups must fill in every part of the application form,attached to these rules. Application form has to be sent to:

not later than (25th September) 1 OCTOBER 2010 (the date of the postmark of departure will be considered as the evidence of when everything has been sent)
With the application form, the candidate agrees to pay to the secretary, a registration fee of € 90 for a duo, € 105 for a trio, € 120 for a quartet, € 25 for each member of a quintet to octet. It is possible to pay with a postal order made out to Accademia Musicale Internazionale or with a bank transfer to Accademia Musicale Internazionale - Banca di Mantignana Credito Cooperativo - Filiale di Perugia S.Marco - IBAN: IT47Y 0863003002000000605498 - BIC ICRAITRRHI0 the reason of the payment: "Tassa iscrizione concorso musica da camera". The registration fee will be refunded in any case.
4) The application form has to be sent together with the following documents on unstamped paper (for each member of the group):
* a recent photo of the group;
* birth certificate or self-certification of birth
*copy of an official identification document
*receipt of enrollment fee payment
*complete program choise and short curriculum vitae (in Italian or in English)
5) All candidates, equipped with an identification document, will appear on the 7th of october (october 7 2010) - in Assisi, to get started. The candidates' order will be raffie off to draw at the beginning of the first day of the competition.
6) The jury will be made up by at least five well-renowned musicians (concert artists, music teachers, musicologists and music reviewers).
The jury's names will be notified not later than 25th september 2010. Any replacement of parts of the jury, subsequent to that date, will take place only in cases of demonstrated need. One of the jury's member will be the artistic director of Accademia Musicale Internazionale.
7) The judgement will be expressed at the end of all executions in hundredths The jury's judgment is final and unquestionable. The board can award no prizes , if by chance the candidates do not meet all the requirements. There will not be any ex-aequo prize. The winners who do not attend the awards ceremony, will lose the right to prize money, even if their absence is justified. The concert and award ceremony are planned on 8 October 2010 at 21 in Assisi.
8) The jury cannot be made up either by people in relationship, kinship or relatives' degree with one or more candidates or by people, who gave private lessons to one or more persons during the previous two years before the beginning of these trials. Among the jury's members, who still teaches or teached in the previous two years before the beginning of these trials at school or conservatory must refrain from any debate and from expressing vote regarding the candidates' examination. This abstention must be made clear in proceedings. When the committee is appointed, every single member must issue a statement on his/her private situation towards the candidates according to what has been written above. This statement must be given to the jury's secretary.
9) If required, the committee can within every trial either listen again to the candidate or shorten his/her performance.
10) Candidates are not allowed to lay budget or any other kind of claims for their performances during winners' concert or for a possible radio and/or television use or for any other copy tecnique (i.d: Cd publication) of their trial performance and of winner's concert.
11) For what NOT included in these regulations the Artistic director of the competition (to whom every explanatory problem is also transferred) is qualified to make decisions.
12) Application to the contest involves the unreserved acceptance of these rules without any proviso.
13) TRIALS' PROGRAM
ONE SINGLE TRIAL: Free program no longer than 25 minutes. Non-original compositions will be allowed only for particolar groups that do not have a separate repertoire.
14) Awarding of concert prizes is decided by artistic committee. For prize concerts , the winners will receive an expenses refund to be arranged with the organizing Association of the concert.
15) Artistic board reserves the right to cancel the competion, in case of proven circumstances beyond one's control. Under these circumstances the inscription fee already paid will be immediately refunded.
16) For what NOT included in these regulations, Artistic board takes upon himself every expertise.
17) In case of notification, the only rightful text is the printed edition in Italian of announcement of competition. Any dispute shall be deemed competent Court of Perugia.
PRIZES
1st prize: € 1.000 euros and 2 concerts
2nd prize: diploma and 2 concerts
3rd prize: diploma and 1 concert
For all partecipants not rewarded Certificate of participation with scores. Prizes are not clean from the deduction to the law.
